In 2012 the Turner Contemporary Gallery in Margate commissioned Brazilian artist Maria Nepomuceno to create a new work, Tempo para Respirar (Breathing Time). As part of the work members of the community and local artists gave their time and skills to make the piece a reality.
Portuguese artist Helder Clara, speaks about his experiences working with Maria, the impact of art, and how art brought the local community of Margate together.
